The challenge

Where Mettilo started.

Mettilo was preparing to launch an ambitious AI-powered content engine for e-commerce brands — a platform that could generate professional product photos, lifestyle imagery, short-form videos, and even virtual try-on experiences using nothing more than basic product images and text descriptions. The technology was genuinely groundbreaking, with early demos producing results that rivaled professional studio shoots at a fraction of the cost. But the team had no public-facing website and no brand presence beyond a pitch deck.

The challenge was multi-layered. First, Mettilo needed to build credibility in a space increasingly crowded with AI tools making bold claims. Every week seemed to bring a new 'AI product photography' startup, and many of them over-promised and under-delivered. Mettilo needed a web presence that communicated quality, sophistication, and trustworthiness — not hype. Second, they needed to generate a substantial waitlist before their beta launch to secure leverage for their Series A fundraising conversations already underway.

The founding team had a clear vision for the brand — warm, elegant, and human-centric, deliberately contrasting the cold, dark, techy aesthetic of most AI tools. They wanted Mettilo to feel like a creative partner, not a robot. But translating that vision into a cohesive web experience that also drove aggressive conversion goals was a delicate balance. Brand Identity & Visual Direction

We developed Mettilo's complete visual identity for web — a warm, light-toned palette with soft creams, muted golds, and deep navy accents that felt premium and approachable. Typography paired an elegant serif for headlines with a clean geometric sans-serif for body copy. The visual language was deliberately warm and human: lifestyle photography blended seamlessly with AI-generated examples, making it impossible to tell where human creativity ended and AI began.

Product Showcase & Before/After Experiences

We designed immersive product showcase sections that let visitors see Mettilo's AI capabilities in action. Interactive before/after sliders showed basic product photos transformed into studio-quality lifestyle shots. A video generation preview showed how a single product image could become a 15-second social media video. The virtual try-on section featured a carousel of AI-generated model shots. Every showcase was designed to create a 'wow' moment that compelled sharing.

Waitlist Conversion Architecture

The entire page was engineered around a single goal: waitlist sign-ups. We designed a multi-stage engagement funnel — an above-the-fold email capture for high-intent visitors, a mid-page CTA triggered after the product showcase created desire, and a bottom-of-page form with social proof showing the growing waitlist count. We also built a referral mechanism where waitlist members could move up the queue by sharing a unique link, creating organic viral growth.

Launch Campaign & Social Proof Engine

We coordinated the site launch with a strategic rollout plan: a teaser page one week before launch to start capturing emails, followed by the full site reveal. We built a real-time waitlist counter that displayed the growing number of sign-ups, creating urgency and social proof simultaneously. Press and influencer quotes were integrated as they came in, and we designed a dynamic testimonial section that could be updated without code changes.
